5 Cheap But Chic Beauty Tricks – Using Common Household Items

Below are 5 Cheap But Chic Beauty Tricks – Using Common Household Items.

These are all some of my favorites that I have used again and again.  I hope you enjoy!

1.  Vaseline for Eye Lash Growth

This is a favorite of mine.  It is so simple, and you WILL see results.  You just put a little Vaseline on your lashes each night before you go to bed.  You will want to do it consistently for about two weeks to see good results.

2.  Saline Solution to Extend Mascara Life

When your mascara is getting low and you are scraping the sides and bottom, don’t throw it out!  Just add 10 drops of saline solution to it, close tightly, and then shake up.  Voila, more velvety mascara!

Its so big picture

3.  Honey and Aspirin Mask to Reduce Acne

Put a tiny bit of water on 3 uncoated aspirin to get the to dissolve, and and 1/2 tsp of honey.  Mix well and apply evenly to face in a circular motion.  You will feel and see results from this immediately from the exfoliation.  And, the next morning my skin is always clearer and calmer.

4.  Honey and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

This mask will make your hair soft, smooth, and silky.  I like to do this at least 4 times per year to help repair my hair.

5.  DIY Lush Coal Face

This is a homemade version of a product that is normally very expensive.   This is a very good recipe that will give you clear, soft, beautiful skin.

  1. These are some great ideas and I love being able to make my own skin care stuff since my skin is very sensitive to preservatives and other of those icky chemicals. Thanks for posting! Kristina

Honey and coconut mask is great for hair! I use it in place of a store-bought deep conditioner at least once every few weeks. Plus, it makes your hair smell amazing!
