We have paid-off $21,814.86 in debt to-date!!!

I just felt the need to write this post this morning to let all of you out there that are on this debt free journey with us know that it is possible to do this!!

Those of you who are subscribed to my You Tube Channel and who have watched the video I posted on January 20th, 2016 titled ” We Are Stopping Our Debt Snowball!! :(“ will understand why it is so amazing and motivating to see that number above.  I mean paying off over 21,000 in debt is no simple task.  I remember a few years back reading something like this on the internet wishing that could be us.  But, never thinking it was possible.

We had plans to pay off our second mortgage this year by December, but then we found out that our son needs braces to prevent two teeth from becoming impacted.  So, we had to put our debt snowball on hold.  We are focusing on saving up the cost of the braces as fast as possible, then we are going to jump back onto the debt.

I just want to remind others on this journey, or thinking about starting this journey, that there are going to be bumps in the road.   You will be tested with decisions that need to be made like this, and whether or not you make it on this journey is all about how you handle those decisions and situations.

We were very lucky that we were already on this journey and have our finances in order.  We are in a much better situation to be able to handle getting these braces for him, even though we still on baby step 2.

Please let me know in the comments below how you are doing on your debt-free journey, or if you are thinking about starting this journey and have questions let me know!
