The reason I first started looking into homemade cleaning products was to save money. But, when you start reading about it you actually find that they are safer and healthier for your home and children.
There are tons of different recipes out there. I wanted to share some of my favorite ones with you in this post.
This is a very simple but effective recipe using vinegar and essential oil. It is also very inexpensive because you just get the cotton cloths from a dollar store.
This recipe calls for rubbing alcohol, Dawn dish washing liquid, and an optional ingredient which is ammonia. You can use some cheap dollar store cloths for this recipe as well.
I plan on trying this recipe out the next time I get groceries. I am ordering my citric acid online at the link below, because that is the only ingredient that I am not familiar with in the store. The ingredients for this recipe are Borax, washing soda, kosher salt, and citric acid. They also suggest adding vinegar to the rinse cycle.
This is just simply 1 part water and 1 part vinegar in a spray bottle.
These are made with baking soda, citric acid (which is available at the link above), and essential oils. I will link to where you can get those as well. I have found that it is best to either order your essential oils online, or get them at your local natural foods store to make sure you get the best quality.
Please share any other homemade recipes for cleaning that you have tried! Happy Cleaning! 😀
