A great way to save money is to shop once and cook once for the whole month.
It does take an entire of prepping and cooking, but you will save so much time and money in the long run that it will be worth it.
The first thing you want to do is to come up with your monthly menu. You may want to just do this with dinners, or you may want to do this with all meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks) for the whole month.
Once you have it all planned out then, you will need to make a list of all of the ingredients you will need to make all of the meals. Make sure to put multiples of whatever you might need if you plan on serving the same meal 2 or 3 times during the month.
You will want to shop your pantry, fridge, and freezer first. Then you will make the shopping list for the store.
Make sure to get some gallon freezer bags or aluminum foil, or any other items that the recipes might call for in order to store your meals until time to cook them.
Once you have all of the ingredients you need purchased, you would spend a day cooking and prepping all of the recipes.
