Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings – Recipe from my Granny Ruth :D

I spent the day with my mom and sister today, and my sister made some DELICIOUS Apple Fritters.  😀  They reminded me of this Apple Dumpling recipe that my Granny Ruth gave me a few years back that is very similar.

So, I wanted to share it with everyone.  They are quick and easy to make when you have company over or during the holidays.  It is a very “Fall” dish.  They are also very inexpensive to make, and you probably already have most of the items in your pantry or fridge!

Granny Ruth’s Apple Dumplings

Yields 8 Dumplings

1 Granny Smith Apple

1 Package Crescent Rolls

1 Stick of Margarine or Butter

1 Cup of Sugar

1/2 Cup of Water

1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar

Cinnamon, to taste

Melt margarine with water and sugar – set aside.  Slice apple into 8 slices.  Put a slice on each crescent roll triangle on the large end and then roll them up into the crescent rolls.  Place them all in a baking dish and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon mixture between each roll.  Then pour the melted margarine, water, and sugar mixture over the rolls.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.  DELICIOUS!

I hope you all enjoy this recipe.  Please comment below.  😀
