Here are two delicious slow-cook turkey breast recipes that you can make in your crock-pot. These are great recipes for when you have a smaller crowd to feed, or just want something easier than cooking a whole turkey in the oven on Thanksgiving.
Crock-Pot Turkey Breast
1 large turkey breast
1 medium onion, chopped
1 rib celery, chopped
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
salt to taste
lemon pepper seasoning to taste
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1. Wash the turkey breast and pat dry. Place in slow cooker. Add in onion and celery. 2. Pour butter or margarine over turkey. Sprinkle with seasonings and pour broth around turkey. 3. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours. Then let stand 10 minutes before carving.
Crock-Pot Apple Turkey
1 large boneless turkey breast
1/4 cup of apple cider or apple juice
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1. Put the turkey breast in slow cooker. Drizzle apple cider or juice over the turkey. Sprinkle on salt and pepper. 2. Cover and cook on high 6 hours. 3. Remove turkey breast and let stand for 10 minutes before carving.
